Pure and Natural Hot Spring of Banjar

It is progressively recognized as one of place of interest tourism object which is easily reached from Lovina Beach. It is opened daily from 07.00 am until 18.00 pm daily except Nyepi Day (Silent Day). Banjar Hot Water is a nature hot wellspring from the ground and it is believed can heal the disease. Its water is accommodated at three small swimming pools encircled by unique rural nature, its situation close to the Wihara (Buda Temple). Banjar Hot Water is located in Banjar Countryside, Banjar sub district belong Singaraja Regency. It is about 1,5 Km from Banjar or 24 Km from Singaraja Town. There are many of easy ways to reach this place from south part of Bali or other regions in the island. It will take 3 hours drive from Bali's International Airport or around Kuta area and we highly recommend you to trip with H.I.S Tour and Travel for more comfortable journey and adding together you are also invited to visit some other places of interest in north part of Bali. Along the road, you will passing the Balinese Village with unique culture life  and the visitors can see grapes garden just out of the main way to grab this site. The nearest accommodations like hotels or lodging including restaurants are also available in particular at Lovina Beach area.

Few steps of the parking lot area, the visitors can buy some of traditional souvenirs or handcrafts. In reaching the main spot, the visitors need to cross small bridge with small river flow under it. After crossing the bridge, green view of lush plantations and sound of the water will greet the visitors.

The first pool is dragon statues spewing water from their mouths, which then overflows in the second bath located lower. The first bath is small-minded and seems to be slightly warmer then the others. The second pool is the biggest one about 48 meters square  with some point reach 2 meters depth. The third pool is hot spring waterfall. Enjoying the hot water fall, we can feel like squeezing, especially at pool equipped by the douche with the high about 3.5 meters, so it can make the body refresh and relaxation.

Having bathing in the heat water containing the brimstone, it will be able to heal the skin disease. This public bath was built by Japanese now is exploited by public society. The Banjar Hot Spring Water is actually split in to three pools that were made by the Japanese Colonies seventy years ago. Long time before the Japanese built the baths that are still exist today and no both tourists and locals use the baths to bath with the warm waterfalls and water features spread out between three different pools.

Nowadays, this place is opened for tourist who can use this bathing place to swim in hot pool and also enjoy the water fall. Today and for many hundreds of years the springs have been made into an open air swimming pool with the openings of the springs connected to piping which now come out of carved statues. This same effect is visible at other springs and highlights the Balinese importance of protection of the sacred areas of the island. This also makes the springs more enjoyable to swim in and stand at the areas where the fresh hot upwelling of water are then guided down the pipes and released at the statues.

Natural Hot Spring of Banjar is a very inexpensive and enjoyable trip from Lovina or any of the areas in the North. Nominally, it is just Rp . 4000 for one person for the entrance fee. It shows an interesting spectacle and experience to see this natural phenomenon which has been controlled for public utilization. There are no respectful measures to take for this area, it is also acceptable to wear swimwear in the area and enjoy the beauty of the area.

Additional Facilities in Banjar Hot Spring

Supporting tourism facilities, Banjar hot spring also completed with additional facilities. There are wide parking lot area and shop outside the main spot. The shops sell the usual things such as bags, hats shirts and some others souvenirs.

This spot provides changing rooms and lockers just under the restaurant, for locker service the visitors need to pay extra charge about Rp. 3000. After taking bath, the visitors can have meal in the restaurant which stands next to the pool right on the changing rooms. The restaurant serves for Balinese menu also international cuisine as well. There are two open air shower next to the hot springs to clean up your body after enjoy the hot water in the pools.
