Diving

Bali has some impressive dive sites. With pleasant temperatures of average 27 degrees Celsius year round and good visibility, the best time of the year for diving is the dry season from April to October. The wet season from November to March can be quite torrential.

Golf

Golf is a popular game in Indonesia, having being introduced here more than a hundred years ago. Golf courses can be found in many parts of Indonesia, and Bali is no exception. Both amateurs and professionals will find a wealth of suitable courses to play in Bali.

Sailing

Sailing is a way of life in Indonesia. With over 13,677 islands scattered over an area of 5,200 kilometers in the Pacific Ocean, Indonesia offers unlimited opportunities for cruises on a variety of vessels. At any of the three main ports of Bali such as Benoa in the south, Padang Bai in the east and Gilimanuk in the north, one will find cruise operators. A sailing trip can mean a few hours in a traditional jukung, a one-day trip to a nearby island or several nights' aboard yachts or luxury cruisers.  Several major shipping lines make Padang Bai and Benoa their ports of call on around-the-world-cruises.

Surfing

Bali has given a magical gift to the global surfing community. That gift is surf! Like a magnet, Bali's surf has attracted the world's best surfers to ride and discover Indonesia's best-kept secret. Today, Bali is the front door for hardcore surfers setting to explore the many excellent quality waves throughout the rest of Indonesia. If you're a surfer, before you head off to discover the surf of Java, Sumbawa, Lombok or the Mentawai Islands, make sure you check out the thrill of Bali's surf!

Rock Climbing

Not advisable during the rainy season (November to March). Bali's highest mountain, Gunung Agung, can take between 3 to 6 hours to climb. It takes one day to reach the summit of Gunung Batukaru and return. Guides are recommended. For rock climbers there is a state-of-the-art, 110sq meter climbing wall in The Adrenalin Park.

Water Sports

The major international hotels in Sanur and Nusa Dua, where the coast is sheltered by long coral reefs, have water skiing facilities. Tanjung Benoa is the place for those who love all kinds of water adventures, from skiing and parasailing to water scooters and banana boat riding
